Welcome to the latest issue of Open Praxis which on this occasion focuses on quality.
First, we have four papers presented by working group leaders at the 2009 ICDE Standing Conference of Presidents. The theme of this SCOP meeting was Quality in the context of the financial crisis, and the papers reflect on four separate challenges facing universities today: Quality upgrading, New entrepreneurship, Employability and lifelong learning, and Leading innovative approaches to the financial crisis.
We also feature five highlights from the quality assurance sessions at the 23rd ICDE World Conference held in June 2009. Grateful thanks are extended to George Ubachs of EADTU who helped select these.
Finally, we are pleased to present papers from two regular contributors to Open Praxis, Dr. Ravi K Mahajan of Panjab University in India, and I Jheengut of Mauritius College of the Air.
